For those of you who have witnessed all that CD Project Red had to offer on PS4 and Xbox versions of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
You will now have the ability to witness this unbelievable open-world RPG in higher quality resolutions and higher performance with a free copy of the title being gifted to players by GOG for PC.
This online games outlet is set to gift a copy of The Witcher 3 to every player who has owned a copy of the game previously. Not only that, but they will also be giving away other digital goodies to sweeten this already excellent deal. Digital loot on offer includes exclusive artwork and the games ambient soundtrack.
This deal does exclude Nintendo Switch players though, sorry guys.
The deal gets even sweeter as players who already own a copy of this game on PC will be awarded a second copy which they can give to a pal who has perhaps never taken the plunge into this massive open-world adventure!
This choice for CD Project Red to use GOG, a company that they own and raise awareness is a smart move. Especially with their next big-name title Cyberpunk 2077 set to release on 17th September 2020.
This is clearly a move to raise the status and traffic within their distribution service and you have to commend their approach. If you want to make avail of this offer, check it out right here!
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunter – A growing success
The success of the Witcher franchise throughout the last year has been truly outstanding. Not only has the game series been hugely popular throughout their run and even produced a game of the year through their third instalment.
The Witcher has also birthed a Netflix original TV series that took the world by storm.
The TV series was so popular in fact, that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s sales figures grew exponentially in 2019, matching the heights that were reached in 2015 which was the year of the game’s release.
The Netflix original series has already been commissioned for another series which will feature Henry Cavill once again giving a gruff and moody portrayal of Geralt, everyone’s favourite monster Hunter.
